I have a lifelong love affair with books.  Some come and go from my life, others stick with me through all time (Santa Mouse comes to mind).  I have boxes full of books waiting to come out so I can run my fingers over their spines, breathe their pages in, and fall back into their stories.

Currently Reading

I'm not a one-book-at-a-time kind of gal.  I am often reading 5 or 6 books all at once, including the audiobooks I listen to on my commute.  I never know what I'll be in the mood for, so I end up reading several books on my Nook.  Sometimes I'm reading my book club book.  Sometimes I find a book around the house and devour it in a day or two.

Book Club

My original book club met once a month, usually somewhere around Seattle.  By around Seattle I mean it could be anywhere from Lynnwood to Samamish to Carnation to Tacoma.  And, usually once a year, the girls would come up to Bellingham to see me!  This is a list of books we've read in the 10 years we've been together.

Books to Read

One of the things I love about Goodreads is being able to track books I want to read.  I can scan the barcode at the book store and add it directly to my list of someday-books, I can get recommendations from friends, and I can sort them into categories so when I'm in the mood for something in particular it's easy to go back and give myself a recommendation.  This is my ever-growing list of books to read.
